Ridges Sanctuary

Founded in 1937, The Ridges Sanctuary is Wisconsin’s first land trust and protects the state’s most biologically diverse ecosystem. Its unique ridge-swale landscape is home to over 500 plant species, 60 bird species, and 12 threatened or endangered species. Visitors can enjoy miles of boardwalk and natural trails through wildflower-rich forests and wetlands, with a nature center offering educational programs and exhibits.
