Schoenbrunn Trail
Schoenbrunn Trail is a gently rolling, well-maintained hiking path in Ellison Bay, stretching about 0.8 miles (2 miles round trip). Winding through forest and along the Nature Conservancyโs Mink River Estuary State Natural Area, this easy trail offers peaceful woodland scenery and leads to views of the marshy Mink Riverโa vital habitat for rare wildlife, including the endangered Hineโs emerald dragonfly. With dry footing, little elevation change, and birdwatching opportunities, itโs ideal for hikers seeking a quiet, accessible nature walk.
Trailhead access is located off County Road NP, about a mile south of Highway 42, just north of Ellison Bay. Parking is available at the gated trailhead where NP makes a 90-degree eastward turn.
