Toft Point State Natural Area

Toft Point State Natural Area preserves a pristine 1-mile-wide peninsula along Lake Michigan, featuring over two miles of shoreline, dolomite cliffs, and limestone cobble beaches. The area supports more than 440 plant species and a diverse array of mosses and liverworts, making it a haven for botanists and birders. Historic remnants include an early circular lime kiln, and hiking trails connect Toft Point to the adjacent Ridges Sanctuary.
